Everyone knows who Dulce Maria and Anahi are now but does anyone remember what they did before Rebelde and RBD?

Hoy en día todos saben quien son Dulce María y Anahí. Antes de aceptar sus protagónicos en Rebelde y convertirse en superestrellas internacionales gracias a RBD, estas dos chicas hicieron sus intentos en el ámbito musical.

Anahi has a huge advantage over the other five members of RBD because she’s been in the show business since she was a baby. She recorded three albums before hopping aboard the third season of Clase 406 as Jessica. Her last album, “Baby Blue”, was released in 2000 around the time she was filming Primer Amor: A Mil Por Hora. Her last solo album proved that she too, has the chance of becoming a pop princess. De los seis integrantes de RBD, Anahí lleva la ventaja sobre los demás. Desde chiquita ha estado actuando y llego a grabar tres discos antes de entrar a la tercera temporada de Clase 406 como Jessica. Su ultimo disco como solista, “Baby Blue” fue lanzado en el 2000, justo cuando filmaba la nueva versión de Quinceañera, Primer Amor: A Mil Por Hora. As for Dulce, she also began her career as an actress at a very young age. She did a bunch of telenovelas before becoming part of the children’s music group, KIDS. Sherlyn, fellow co-star of Clase 406 and Mafer Malo, aka Fuzz or Sol De la Riva from Rebelde were also part of this group. Although the group offered something fresh to its public and people even assumed they could be the new Timbiriche, the group was not successful. Dulce left the group before it disbanded and returned to the small screen in 2000 as a special guest on Primer Amor: A Mil Por Hora as Brittany. In 2001, she replaced Angie in the female pop group, Jeans, and boosted the group’s popularity with their fourth album, “Cuarto para las cuatro”. Her stay in Jeans then fell short when she accepted the role of Marcela in Pedro Damian’s 2002 teen drama, Clase 406. The novela lasted a year and a half before Dulce accepted her biggest role to date: playing Roberta Pardo in Rebelde. The rest is history that we all know. Dulce María también empezó su carrera desde pequeña actuando y cantando. Ya había hecho varias telenovelas antes de entrar al grupo infantil, KIDS en 1998. También formaban parte del grupo sus futuras compañeras de telenovelas, Sherlyn y Mafer Malo o mejor conocida como Sol de La Riva en “Rebelde”. Aunque ya hacia mucho tiempo que en México no se daba un grupo infantil, el grupo no gozo mucho éxito. Dulce María dejaría la agrupación antes de su desintegración, y años después reaparecería en la pantalla chica con un papel especial como Brittany en “Primer Amor: A Mil Por Hora”. En el 2001, reemplaza a Angie en el grupo Jeans, y aumenta el éxito de las chicas con su participación en el disco de “Cuarto para las cuatro”. Su estancia en Jeans no duraría mucho porque en el 2002, aceptaría el papel de Marcela en la nueva telenovela de Pedro Damian, “Clase 406”. Ya lo demás creo que es historia.
