LA KALLE: WIN YOUR FESTIVAL MX TICKETS WITH A DON OMAR SONG!/ LA KALLE: GANEN SUS BOLETOS PARA EL FESTIVAL MX CON CANCIONES DE DON OMAR!

I was listening to La Kalle this morning and was disgusted. I don't know why but I always want to give them a chance but end up changing the station because they live to disappoint. I recently looked up how La Kalle 100.7 & 105.7 is doing in its arbitron ratings in San Francisco and they really don't get much listeners. La Raza 93.3 has high ratings (ranks 3 in the SF market) and that station plays regional Mexican music. Now, how are people going to listen to La Kalle if they can't get over one-hit wonders ("Amargo adios"- Inspector & "Mori" Tranzas) and can't play newer, better, worthwhile songs? I do praise them for playing Reik & La Quinta Estacion's latest singles, but do they not thrive to become a better station? If that wasn't enough, they are finally promoting the Festival MX concert with Alejandra Guzman, Aleks Syntek and DJ Flex (aka Nigga wtf?) and “others” (not mentioned Moenia & Fobia) but give out tickets with Don Omar’s song! La Kalle has to work A LOT to get their demographic to listen to them. The best thing would be to let listeners win their tickets with a song of the performer, not someone that isn't even performing and isn't of the same music genre. At least on Conexion SF I do my non-paid-for promotion of the concert but insert it before playing a song by one of the performers. I also want to give thanks to whoever decided to put together this Festival because the bay area needs to get rock and pop en español back. The artists as well as their followers deserve it.



Venia escuchando La Kalle esta mañana y que disgusto me di. Ya se si no me gusta la estación pues por que la escucho, pero es la única estación donde tocan algo de pop y rock y tengo la esperanza que algún día me calle la boca y me arrepienta de lo que estoy escribiendo. Me fije en los ratings de la estación aquí en San Francisco, y La Kalle 100.7 y 105.7 no tiene muy buenos números. La Raza 93.3 que toca música regional mexicana tiene muy buenos ratings y se cuela junto con las estaciones de ingles. Y como va la gente escuchar La Kalle si no salen de los mismas canciones que tocaban cuando eran VIVA (no sabia que “Amargo adiós” de Inspector y “ Mori” de Tranzas aun son éxitos!) y no pueden tocar nuevas y mejores canciones. Si les doy crédito por mantenerse actualizados con La Quinta Estación y Reik, pero no les da ansia por progresar o convertirse en la estación numero uno en español del área de la bahía? Tienen que trabajar bastante para mas gente escuche sus frecuencias. Por si no fuera poco, ahora resulta que para ganarte tus boletos del Festival MX con Alejandra Guzmán, Aleks Syntek, Nigga (y que tiene que ver con los demás?) y “otros” (ósea Moenia & Fobia) tienes que estar al tanto de la canción de Don Omar! Lo mejor que pueden hacer es ganarse los boletos al escuchar una canción de los artistas que estarán presentes no de alguien que ni esta en el mismo genero que los demás! De menos en Conexión SF hago mi promoción del concierto sin que me paguen y lo hago antes de poner una canción del artista que si va estar ahí. También hay que reconocer y agradecerles a los que organizaron este evento porque ya era tiempo que en el área de la bahía hubiera un concierto de este tipo. Los artistas así como sus fans se lo merecen.
